ABOUT US

To take into account, one of the main controversy between branches of Islam is found around the theme of Intercession when making a Ziyyarat (a visit). What is intercession? Is it the action of saying a prayer on behalf of another? note that there are 2 types of intercession in the Arabic language, the first one is Shafa'ah a form of prayer requesting God by the sake of those who are near to Him such as Prophets, Angels and in addition for Shia muslim; Imams and pious Sheikh, whether alive or not. The second one is known as Tawassul; a type of supplication, a means by which a believer attains an accepted prayer. Sunni muslims believe that Tawassul means the various acts of worship which the Qur'an orders believers to perform while Shia muslims call on the names of Prophet Muhammad and the Ahl Bayt and use them as their intercessor to God. The controversy regards the interpretation of some verses of the Quran which negate it when its interpreted verse by verse (2:254), however, some other verses confirm it declaring that only God has the right to intercede and allow intercession in the hereafter (19:87). Besides, the debate about the belief that one can ask for intercession from a soul that has departed leads to mere confusion as scholars have yet not found a common agreement. This post encourages to visit holy and historical places to get inspired by stories mentioned in the Noble Qur'an. None from above is encouraging any type of intercession.
